This section of Il Pietrisco is directed by Monica Boria and Ángeles Carreres

This section of Il Pietrisco aims to reflect the dynamic, kaleidoscopic world of
literary translation today, focusing on the intersections of romance
languages with world literature, as manifest in the translation of literary
works in Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese, Rumanian, Spanish, etc. into
other languages, and vice versa. We are especially interested in
underrepresented realities of any kind, including but not limited to
underrepresented languages and experiences, and in texts and translations
that challenge, enrich, and broaden our understanding of the contemporary
world and our global society.

Although we welcome translations of all types of texts, each issue will have a
specific focus. Please click on Forthcoming Projects for the current Call for
