This section of Il Pietrisco aims to reflect the dynamic, kaleidoscopic world of literary translation today, focusing on the intersections of Romance languages with world literature, as manifest in the translation of literary works written in Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, etc. into other languages, and vice versa. We are particularly interested in underrepresented realities of any kind, including underrepresented languages and experiences, and in texts and translations that challenge, enrich, and broaden our understanding of the contemporary world and our global society.

Each annual issue will have a specific focus. Please click on Forthcoming Projects for the current Call for Contributions and on Publication Criteria for details on how to submit your work.

While we can only publish work that meets the criteria of the current Call for Contributions, we always welcome suggestions for future issues. If you are interested in guest-editing a special issue, please contact us with a brief outline of your project (500 words) at:
